Troy-Miami East Girl Scout Service Unit is the sole owner of the information collected on www.tmegirlscouts.com. Troy-Miami East Girl Scouts collects personally identifiable information from our users on our Web site.
Contact Form
If you submit the contact form on our site, we require that you provide certain personally identifiable information, including your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. This information is necessary to process your form and to contact you.
This information is shared only with those that need this information, including but not limited to the Service Unit Manager(s), Organizer/Recruiter(s), and Registrar for Troy-Miami East Girl Scouts. If your request is for information outside our service unit's scope (Troy, Fletcher, and Casstown in Miami County, Ohio), your information may be forwarded to the Girl Scouts of Buckeye Trails Council in Dayton, Ohio for further consideration and/or response.
Surveys
From time-to-time we will provide you the opportunity to participate in a survey on our site. If you participate, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as zip code).
We use this information to monitor site traffic or personalize the site (in the case of anonymous information collected in surveys).
Uses of Information
Information provided on the Contact Form is forwarded to members of the Troy-Miami East Girl Scout service team. Service team members are all volunteers who have completed an approval process with Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. The approval process requires a volunteer to submit an application and a minimum of three (3) letters of reference. In addition, applicants submit to a voluntary background check and complete annually required training for their position. Each service team member is a current member of Girl Scouts of the USA having agreed to abide by the Girl Scout Promise and Girl Scout Law and paying membership dues. The information submitted on the contact form is not shared with individuals or companies which have not met these same requirements. If a request for information cannot be met by members of the Troy-Miami East Girl Scouts but could be handled by Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, the form will be forwarded to a staff member. Troy-Miami East Girl Scouts will make an attempt to relay this to you before forwarding your information.
Log Files
As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
